CancerRoot HPA Axis Dysfunction Program
$499.00
This service focuses on managing cortisol levels in cancer patients, as elevated cortisol can worsen cancer prognosis and accelerate disease progression. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone in the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) axis, plays a significant role in regulating the immune system, and its elevation due to stress can suppress immune responses and hinder the body’s ability to fight cancer cells.
Description
The program includes:
- Initial Consultation: A 1-hour appointment with an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to review your medical and cancer history, assess symptoms related to cortisol elevation, and arrange for the ZRT Cortisol Awakening Response Profile (CAR) test, which measures cortisol levels over 24 hours.
- ZRT CAR Test: A comprehensive, six-sample salivary cortisol test to analyze your cortisol awakening response and diurnal cortisol rhythm, providing insights into your body’s stress response and overall HPA axis function.
- Follow-up Consultation: A 1-hour session to review test results and create a personalized plan to lower cortisol levels if elevations are found, aiming to improve immune function and cancer treatment outcomes.
The program costs $499, including the test. Participants can apply this cost towards the larger Hyperion Functional Oncology Program if they choose to continue with more in-depth cancer root treatments, including support from a holistic nutritionist and functional medicine health coach.
This service is designed to help cancer patients manage stress, optimize cortisol levels, and improve their cancer prognosis by addressing HPA axis dysfunction.
